Palmore meets the elements in this idyllic setting, where our intuitive response to the environment creates distinctive private holiday homes. With over fifteen years dedicated to a boutique approach, father and son Navzer and Karl Irani draw from global architectural practices and localised perspective. Exacting standards, sensitivity in navigating the terrain and a flavour for the exotic lend each home their singular character.

ALIBAUG
Our luxurious weekend homes in Alibaug offer respite and rejuvenation from the urban hustle. A quick yet leisurely commute by speedboat, road or air, as you prefer, the sensation of being transported is immediate and therapeutic.
History lends character to Alibaug’s richly layered atmosphere. Folklore has it that seven Bene-Israeli couples survived a shipwreck and washed ashore at Navgaon on the Konkan coast 2,200 years ago. With the opportunity to assimilate and flourish, there came a point in the 17th century, when Ali, a descendant, owned such a magnitude of acreage that locals began to call the land Alichi bag (Ali’s garden).
It has since earned a reputation as a sought after destination, where residents enjoy solitude and time with loved ones. A flurry of quaint pop-up farm-to-table restaurants, design studios, art galleries and adventure sports has elicited a new wave of activity and interest, making Alibaug’s mutable quality part of the draw.

With over 40 years of experience in the planning, design, and realisation of architectural projects across both residential and commercial sectors, Navzer was one of the pioneering architects to gain a reputation for creating luxury villas in Alibaug in the early 2000’s. In co-founding Palmore, he has been able to turn his focus exclusively to the development of private villas, bringing his past experience and meticulous vision to the forefront. The last 15 years has benefited from his engagement with Vaastu Shaastra, working with India’s leading experts to be able to guide his team and ensure that all elements of design follow its founding principles.

After graduating with a Master’s Degree in Law from King’s College, London, Karl soon realised that his passion lay in building businesses. Ignited with a thirst for entrepreneurship, he returned to India and single-handedly set up The Palms Spa, one of Mumbai’s finest wellness establishments. This experience gave him valuable insight into the city’s luxury market, and an understanding of how to most effectively deliver world-class comfort, design, and hospitality to an audience that knows exactly what it wants. Following the successful launches of his spas, Karl turned his attention to Alibaug and its immense potential; he took what was then a small operation to new heights, turning it into what we know today as Palmore. With a core team of highly qualified architects and interior designers, Palmore has been able to deliver consistent results across all the villa development projects it undertakes.
